"BELONGING" is a design project that recovers geometric shapes from a rich past in intense and contrasting colors: animals, ancient warriors, women with royal clothes, carnival masks, sacred stones, crafts in its various manufactures, breads and sweets worked like jewels.
Observing them, studying them and redesigning them as small pieces that tell the beauty and uniqueness of the island is her challenge.
Mara in her artistic project wants to show how through design one can be able to promulgate, protect and evolve the cultural heritage of a territory, demonstrating that the past and the present can always beautifully coexist together.
History told through design, Design reinvents itself and evolves through history.
