Silk twill, hand hemmed. Made and packaged in Italy.
A timeless accessory, the scarf is a must-have that can be worn around the neck, as a belt, headband or turban.
CARDS SERIES Cups, swords, sticks and money. What do these words evoke in you? For us, the magic of long winter afternoons with grandparents. A deck of cards and endless challenges of broom or trump next to the hearth. Playing cards, the most popular entertainment in Italy, linked to folklore and tradition. From Bergamo, Bologna, Treviso or Neapolitan, the list is long: each area of the Bel Paese has its own. 40 rectangles, each with its own suit which can represent defeat or victory. We drew inspiration from here for our “Carte” scarf series. Each scarf is sold accompanied by a postcard describing the line and graphics and inside a white box.
ON EAGLE'S WINGS A double-headed eagle towering above an eight, the sign of infinity. It is the Ace of Coins of Neapolitan playing cards. The Roman emperor Constantine adopted the double-headed eagle for his coat of arms which also remained in the Eastern Roman Empire until the last dynasty of the Byzantine emperors. There are multiple meanings of the Ace of Pentacles: joy, luck, family harmony, wealth, legacies or inheritances. But it can herald a phone call, an unexpected contact and, in any case, an auspicious event. On eagle's wings is our silk twill scarf from the Carte series.
